Featured in Santa Barbara Magazine! Ally & Mike

Monday, February 22, 2010

I was so excited when I heard the news that one of my wedding images was the main wedding feature in the February/March issue of the Santa Barbara Magazine! I was even more happy when I heard it was Ally & Mike's wedding!

Here is the full page spread featuring their wedding...

I always love reading the featured weddings and the fun facts about the couple in each issue. Ally & Mike's made me laugh because one of their fun facts was how on their 2nd date, they got caught sneaking into the Santa Barbara Zoo penguin exhibit at night. The funny part was, was that I was coincidentally photographing Mike's company party and even got a candid shot of them earlier in the night before they got busted. I dug back a couple years to find the photo I took of them that same night :)

Love you guys... you're the cutest!!!

Leadbetter Beach & Elings Park Engagement Session - Dianne & Mike

Sunday, February 21, 2010

We totally lucked out with such a beautiful day for Dianne & Mike's engagement shoot! The lighting was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and I was so excited to take them up to my new spot for photos. I have been to Elings many times, but never to this side of the park. This shoot was the kick-off to my busy engagement season and it was such a fun one to start out with...

Happy 1st Birthday to our sweet Camille!!!

Thursday, February 11, 2010

One year ago today (yesterday) you entered our world and we are forever changed. You have taught us how to truly love with every little piece of our heart and how to give a million little kisses and never want to stop...

You may not know it, but we often stand over your crib while you are fast asleep dreaming. We are either smiling just knowing that you are ours, or we are quietly giggling to each other because of the silly way you fell asleep.

We love that you have made us into kids again... We go to the zoo, we swing high in the sky on the swings, we make shampoo mohawks in the bath, we sing songs while we do every little thing, we have daily dance parties in the livingroom, and we're just plain ol' goofy all day long :)

We have had so much fun watching you grow over the last 12 months. Each and every day you continue to amaze us with what you can do and how quickly you pick things up. Although this year has flown by, we can't wait to see what this next year of adventures brings us.

Please don't ever change with your adventurous attitude, your excitement for new things and your confidence in doing anything no matter how many times it takes...

We love you!!!

Little Adam Brooks Firestone - 10 months!

Friday, February 5, 2010

Well... little baby brooks isn't quite a baby anymore. This was definitely my favorite session with him thus far because he really brought out his goofy & fun personality! For an entire hour, he just laughed, squealed and made about a million different facial expressions. My face hurt just from giggling right along with him :)

The best part was that he stood for the first time all by himself for longer then a few seconds. I think that's why I was able to get so many great expressions, because he was so excited for his new accomplishment!

Andrew and Ivana...you are going to have your hands full with such a handsome little man!

Look at these cute little kicks!

Is this not the funniest face ever!

Since our session was at the Santa Barbara Zoo, I had my husband tag along with our little girl Camille. After our session, Camille got a chance to play with her little boyfriend Brooks.
