Organzing your business with Gigbooks!

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

We were so lucky to have Justin Kifer, owner of Gigbooks, come all the way out from Pennsylvania to visit for this months PUG (Pictage User Group) meeting. Gigbooks is an online studio management software designed for professionals in the wedding industry that desire to implement efficient and intelligent systems into the frontline of their business. I have been a member of Gigbooks since last year and it is an excellent tool to help you organize your client database. You will no longer have client papers lying around your office and wondering if you need to follow up with a prospective client - it is all logged in to your online Gigbooks account! You can even send electronic contracts to your clients, which is a huge bonus!

We had a small turnout, but it was still a very informational meeting!

I didn't have a babysitter that night, so I brought along my little Camille. Even she liked the information Justin gave us! Can't you tell by her smile :)

The Halas Twins

Sunday, June 21, 2009

Our good friends Jen & Jake gave birth to two beautiful little boys on May 30th - Hunter & Jax. I drove up to San Jose last weekend to get a few photos for them. They're still pretty tiny since they were 3-4 weeks early, but they are still super cute!

This was my first time taking pictures of twins, and it really is twice as hard as it normally would be with just one newborn. One will be wide awake, while the other one is sleeping, one will start crying, so the other one would join in. I think the hardest part though, was that I had no idea which one was which. I still can't even tell them apart in the photos (hopefully their parents can)

Ally & Mike Are Married!

Thursday, June 4, 2009

I mentioned it when I posted Mike & Ally's engagement photos, but this wedding was a special wedding for me since I've known Mike and a bunch of his groomsmen since college. I couldn't be happier for him to have found such an amazing bride. Ally is such a sweetheart and was amazingly gorgeous on their wedding day. I've been dying to take photos at the Biltmore, so I was excited when Ally said that's where the girls were getting ready at.

Thanks to all the other vendors that helped make Ally & Mike's wedding day absolutely perfect!
Ceremony: El Presidio
Reception: Santa Barbara Historical Museum.
Caterers: Pure Joy
Flowers: Amy Mognis at Ambient Events
Cake: Hennings
DJ: DJ Vick One from LA's Power 106
Hair & Make-up: Tawni Jones 19 Blue Salon
and of course my 2nd photographer: Brion Hopkins

A few of my friends from college - still the same crazy guys as they were over 9 years ago!

Loved this shot Brion got of the Presidio after the sun decided to come out

Such a cute shot I got of Ally watching Mike arrive across the street before the ceremony

Such a stud!

I love this shot Brion got of Mike right before he walked Ally's Mom down the aisle.

Is this not the cutest shot of Ally & her Dad walking down the aisle!?

I noticed looking through all of the photos that Mike couldn't stop playing with the new ring on his finger all throughout the day. So cute!

They're so gorgeous together!

Beautiful flowers!

Yes, that's right! There are 28 people in the bridal party including them!

I absolutely loved the guys in their black suits and thin ties!

The bridesmaids were super hot in their black dresses.
I thought it looked great that they were able to pick out their own style of dress.
