Welcome to my blog! My name is Kacie and I am in love! I am in love with my amazing husband, and my two adorable little girls. I am in love with everything that has to do with weddings and I absolutely love cute little families and adorable chubby babies! Nothing makes me happier than to be able to capture all the love that surrounds this beautiful world and to share it with my clients. I try to keep up with my blog every few days, so be sure to check back often for all the fun things I'm working on!

Congratulations Sarah & Konrad! I love you guys!

This weekend was the kick off for my very busy season of wedding photography. This wasn't only my first wedding of the season, but it was one of the most special weddings I have photographed. This Saturday's wedding was for one of my very close friends Sarah. Sarah and I lived together for close to 4-5 years and she was the last person I lived with before I got married and moved in with Jason.

I actually still lived with Sarah when she first met Konrad Kono. It has been a fun 2 years watching their relationship blossom into something so beautiful. You can just tell from the photos how in love with each other they are.

I was so honored that I could be there to document their wedding, which was at the Santa Barbara Mission Rose Garden. It was extremely hard to hold back the tears throughout the whole magical day, but I did my best!

I have a ton of pictures to still go through, and I'm still trying to narrow down the selection for their slideshow, but I wanted to at least post a few...

I think this is one of my favorite pictures of Sarah! She's absolutely STUNNING!

Check out this amazing bouquet! This is proof you can make your own bouquet with flowers from the farmer's market! Sarah's wonderful friend Hiroko put together her bouquet, as well as all the center pieces for the reception...

The first look!

How cute is Sarah's Dad!? He is one of the sweetest men I know!

She was just so darn excited to be getting married finally! :)

Thanks to my assistant Angie Ponce, I finally got some cool pics of myself in action!

Here she is all excited again!

If I haven't mentioned it yet, Konrad is an amazing piano player! For some reason, out of every special moment of their day, this was when I couldn't hold back the tears any longer! He dedicated Journey's "Don't stop believing" to her and had all the guests join in. The cutest part of the song was the beginning when it talks about her being a small-town girl (Sarah's from Cornville Arizona!)

The end to a beautiful night!

Figueroa Mountain...Easter Sunday!

Over the last 10 years that I have lived here, I have always heard about the beautiful wild flowers located on Figueroa Mountain, which is located right over highway 154. We decided Easter Sunday would be a perfect time to visit the flowers and enjoy a little picnic.

I love poppies!

The only bummer was that I was expecting a huge mountain of beautiful flowers, but after driving for a little over an hour, we only found a little hillside.

Here's the 2 most important men in my life... My hubby Jason and my Dad!

This is where we pulled off the road to have our picnic and take a quick nap.

This was our view from our picnic site

7th place! Woo Hoo!!!

I finally entered in some of my photos in a contest and I actually placed in the top 10! Local Santa Barbara Wedding Photographer David Jay, started an online contest for photographers, Open Photo Contest and I thought I would give it a try. There were over 160,000 votes and some of the most talented photographers around the world had also entered.

I know it's only 7th place, but that's still pretty cool!

This is the photo that I placed in the contest. Christina & Kyle have been so fun to work with! We spent about 5-6 hours together a few months back having fun all around Santa Barbara. As we were driving around looking for places to take pictures, I thought it would be cool to try and get a shot of them kissing as the train rushed by. I called my Mom and asked her to get the train schedule. Well... we had 15 minutes until it came! We rushed over to the train station and ran along the train tracks until we found a good location. It was such a rush and so much fun! I was so excited after I saw how cool the shot turned out.

Christina & Kyle, thanks for being such a fun couple to work with! I can't wait for your wedding in August!!!
